Service Description

Learn and practice how to explore and respond to adults who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing worsening of a mental health problem, or are currently experiencing an acute mental health crisis. This course provides a 3-year accreditation on successful completion of an online open book quiz. 12 hours of training is mandatory to be eligible for accreditation, so ensure you are not late for these trainer-lead, immersive sessions. About your course instructor, Nicole Gross: Nicole (Nix) Gross is a proud Quandamooka Nunukal nugi woman residing on Country at the bayside in Brisbane. She has a range of interests and serves the community in a number of roles, including a lifetime of professional art and music performance, as well as work in public health including registered nursing since 2005, and work supporting mental health patients across hospital and community services in SE Queensland. Nix brings to her Mental Health First Aid training courses a passion for awareness and education fueled by her professional training and experience of all people. Nix has been providing specialist training to support First Nations mental health for local business and multiple government departments. She also runs her own wellness practice which brings together her passion for the arts, diverse people, and her professional health expertise.
